Welcome to the world, sweet Leah Joy!

She wasn't planned to arrive (by c-section) until this coming Tuesday, but circumstances made it so that she needed to come today! I received the phone call from James that Katie was being prepped for surgery and that the baby would be here within an hour! Yikes!! I grabbed my stuff and got there quickly to capture the birth of their first baby. She was born at 12:08pm, and weighed in at a tiny 5lbs, 6oz. This was my first ever birth session, and it was JUST amazing. I didn't realize that I was going to cry myself when she was born! It was such a neat experience...and I look forward to working again with this new family of three in the next couple of weeks to capture some precious newborn photos. Anyway...enough rambling...here's a little sneak peek from today...CONGRATULATIONS you guys! :)
